How thick should asphalt paving be?

Can you pave over my existing asphalt?
Sometimes we will pave over existing asphalt surfaces. If the sub-base and the existing asphalt are stable, we can pave over it. An asphalt overlay is usually the most cost effect paving method. We will need to mill (scrape off) around transition areas such as sidewalks, roadways or driveway aprons.
How long does it take to install a new asphalt driveway?
A lot will depend on the size of the driveway and the shape of the existing driveway. Usually, we can do the prep work in 1-2 days and the paving in one day.
